Tikling at Sunset

March 10, 2018 5PM at Kaytikling, Ortigas Ave. Extension

Four years ago, I took photos of this intersection in Taytay Rizal, at that time, the footbridge was just built. After going home from Ortigas, I waited for the golden hours and rode a jeepney headed towards Tikling. I was checking out my camera for previous shots that I stumbled upon this beautiful sunlight piercing through the window of the jeepney. I pointed my camera and took a photo of the jeepney driver. The result is the photo titled PROVISIONAL. I then arrived at Tikling, brought my tripod and compose my shots prior to the sunset. It took me a while to feel that the footbridge is not as sturdy as I thought it would be. In the middle, it is constantly wobbly and flexing. For this reason, I moved towards one of the sides instead at the dead center of the footbridge. This is where I took photos of: Tikling at Sunset 1 and Tikling at Sunset 2. Also, when I looked behind me, the new rotunda was in place, so I decided to take a long exposure photo of the cars waiting and circumventing the rotunda. Photos titled Veins 1 and Veins 2 were the product of this setting. I was hoping for a 30-second-long exposure, and yet as I tried it, the micro shakes of the footbridge is ruining the steadiness of the light trails. That is way I opted for 10-15 seconds exposure and fired at f/22 on the lowers ISO setting.
